At this CES show, Hesai Technology released a new generation of automotive-grade lidar. In addition to the automotive-grade semi-solid-state lidar AT128, which was publicly exhibited for the first time, it also released a new short-range ultra-wide-angle lidar QT128. This is a blind-filling radar built for autonomous driving applications such as L4 robotaxi and robotruck. It has a 105° ultra-wide vertical field of view and can clearly identify people and objects at close range around the car. QT128 will be mass produced and delivered in the first quarter of 2023.

QT128 has the following highlights:

1) 105-degree vertical field of view, the best among similar products. By tilting the installation, it can completely cover the blind spots of the car body, low obstacles such as conical barrels and small animals, and can also detect high places such as three-dimensional garages and high-rise buildings.

2) QT128 has 128 vertical lines, which is the architecture of the previous generation double. Through the line number distribution design, the minimum horizontal and vertical resolution of the QT128 encryption area is 0.4 degrees, which has almost reached the resolution level of the long-distance main radar. Even the dynamic motion process as small as a table tennis ball can be accurately captured by the QT128 .

3) High-quality reflectance information. Compared with the previous generation architecture, QT128 adds effective reflectivity information and ensures high accuracy, greatly improving the recognition and classification capabilities of lane lines, signs, and other objects.

4) Vehicle-grade reliability. QT128 follows the automotive-grade product development process from design to verification, and reliability testing is strictly performed in accordance with top OEM standards. It has ultra-high reliability and longer service life.

Through the flexible installation position, the QT128, combined with the long-range main radar, can enable autonomous vehicles to obtain a complete 360° field of view, taking into account both distance and distance.

In addition, Hesai also simultaneously exhibited a full range of product matrices at CES 2022: "Machine King" - image-level ultra-high-resolution long-range radar Pandar128, zero-blind zone high-precision mid-range radar XT32, light Quantitative 300-meter ultra-long-range radar XT32M2X, and ultra-wide-angle short-range blind-filling radar QT series. These products have been widely used in driverless taxis, self-driving trucks, driverless minibuses, driverless delivery robots, smart cities and other applications.
