A few days ago , Shenlong Automobile Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation in accordance with the requirements of the "Regulations on the Management of Recall of Defective Automobile Products" and the "Implementation Measures of the Regulations on the Management of Recall of Defective Automobile Products". It has been decided to recall a total of 710,301 Dongfeng Citroen Sega hatchbacks and sedans produced between March 5, 2008 and September 29, 2016 from now on.

For vehicles within the scope of this recall, due to long-term friction between the front suspension spring and the accumulated sand and gravel on the shock absorber tray, the spring coating is damaged; the spring after the coating is damaged will rust under the corrosion of high salt and high humidity environment. Fracture may occur under long-term exposure to tensile and compressive stress. In extreme cases, the broken spring can slip under the shock absorber tray, causing damage to the tires, affecting the normal driving of the vehicle, and posing safety risks.

This recall was carried out after the State Administration for Market Regulation launched a defect investigation. Affected by the investigation, Shenlong Automobile Co., Ltd. will perform protective treatment on the bottom coil of the front suspension spring of the vehicles within the recall scope. If the front suspension spring is broken, replace the spring with a new one and perform protective treatment on the bottom coil of the spring to eliminate potential safety hazards.
