At the 2024 Beijing Auto Show, BYD Seal 06DM-i was officially unveiled. Officials stated that the new car will be officially launched in the second quarter of this year. The new car will be equipped with BYD's fifth-generation DM-i hybrid system for the first time, with a comprehensive range of over 2,000km and a fuel consumption of less than 3L per 100 kilometers under NEDC operating conditions.
BYD Seal 06DM-i follows BYD's marine aesthetic design concept. The double L-shaped headlight design, the inverted trapezoid lower grille and the surround of the same color as the body make the overall shape dynamic and atmospheric. .
The fastback design makes the entire side of the car look slender and has smooth lines; the overall rear of the car has a simple and clear look. In terms of body size, the length, width and height of Seal 06DM-i are 4830*1875*1495mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2790mm, reaching the level of mainstream B-class cars.
In terms of power, Seal 06DM-i is equipped with BYD’s fifth-generation DM-i super hybrid technology, which is composed of a 1.5L engine and an electric motor. The maximum engine power is 74kW. Depending on the configuration, the new car provides two power motors of 120kW and 160kW. , or provide two pure electric range versions of 60km and 90km. The comprehensive range exceeds 2,000km, and the fuel consumption per 100 kilometers under NEDC operating conditions may be less than 3L.
