Toyota Motor said that they have developed a hydrogen storage module that can integrate multiple resin high-pressure gas tanks with a pressure of 70MPa. Toyota plans to display this concept model at the International Hydrogen Fuel Cell Expo to be held from March 16 to 18.

At present, hydrogen storage tanks with a pressure of 70MPa have been mass-produced. However, for target users such as railways, ships, and ports, due to the different safety standards in the fields of use, Test certification in different environments is also required. From March 19 to 20 this year, Toyota will also conduct a series of tests in the Super Taikyu Series. Commercial transport trucks will load two sets of 16-pack hydrogen tanks with a pressure of 45MPa.

Information shows that in hydrogen fuel cell passenger cars, hydrogen tanks are set up independently. In the hydrogen storage module state, 4 of them are in a group, which can detect storage, safety and working status. After the corresponding testing and verification work is completed, the hydrogen storage capacity can be arbitrarily combined according to needs for commercial use.
