Recently, we obtained a set of spy photos of the new Buick GL8 PHEV model from relevant channels. The spy photos reveal the details of the new car’s charging port and a double-sided protective cover. It is reported that the new Buick GL8 PHEV has a comprehensive cruising range of over 1,000km, 0-100km acceleration increased by 15%, and has added AI dynamic intelligent algorithms and Autoneng standard battery safety technology. It is reported that the new car is expected to be released at the Beijing Auto Show in April and officially launched in August.

In the spy photos exposed this time, the new car is still covered with a car cover, but from the revealed details, we can see that the rear shape and taillights of the new Buick GL8 PHEV adopt the same design as the Buick Century. In addition, the new car uses a body color similar to Century Avea Imperial Blue, which not only highlights the texture but also adds a lot of sportiness.

Based on the previously exposed front face shape, the new car is equipped with a split headlight set. The upper LED daytime running lights are of a through-type design, and the lower high and low beam light sets are decorated with the longitudinal layout of the vents on both sides of the front enclosure. Integrated into one, combined with the large-sized radiator grille in the middle of the front apron, the aura of the new car is greatly improved.

In terms of power, according to previous reports, the new car is likely tobe equipped with a plug-in hybrid system composed of a 1.5T engine and an electric motor. The electric motor has a maximum power of 140 kilowatts and is equipped withLithium Iron Phosphate Battery Pack. This spy photo shows that the charging port of the new car is located on the right rear side of the body. The fast charging port and the slow charging port are arranged together, symmetrically distributed with the fuel port on the left side.
